Is coffee really giving you energy?

Hii I know I've been off for a while but the depression was hitting hard, I'm sorry. I'm still feeling meh but I really wanted to come back because I just love writing so much. So, I was wondering about what to write about, and I decided to write about my day, more especially about coffee. You'll see.
So today I woke up for an 8am class, so my alarm went off at 6h47, and you can guess how i was tired. I was up late yesterday because of some reasons so this morning was hard. I had to get up eventually, by pushing myself really hard and after being at the limit of when I can stay in bed. I put on Powerpuff Girls eye patches to try and get my eyes awake, got dressed in jeans and a winter dino sweatshirt, then went downstairs. I didn't have energy to do anything but I still managed to eat a bit. Fast forwards being at school before my class, and I'm getting a large coffee at the cafeteria. Fast forward again in the middle of the 3 hours class, and even at the end, where nothing changed and I still can barely move. So, before my other 3 hours class, I got another large coffee and drank it in an hour before going to lunch and back to the class, and I'm currently in the last 30 minutes of the class.
During the second break, I questionned weither I should get another coffee or not. I'm gonna be honest, my decision was very much taken because I didn't have money left from the 2 other coffees, but there was another thing: I don't think coffee works for me. Like, really. Everytime I get coffee I kinda feel less tired, but is it because time is passing and my energy is building up at the same time, or it's really because I drank coffee? Today, I've waken up worst than most of my mornings, and took coffees, and I'm still very tired and on the verge of collapsing. I'm so tired I can barely move. So, maybe coffee isn't working. Maybe all this time is was a placebo.
I once saw on TikTok that for ADHD people, coffee doesn't work. An ex friend (who had ADHD) once told me that coffee didn't give them energy, but gave them concentration. Some get heart palpitations ans anxtiety. But I never felt anything. I can drink coffee at night and still sleep. I think I'm immune to coffe, and so are you. Think about it and your experiences, maybe you'll get to the same conclusion as me.
I'm still going to drink coffee though, because I love it, I love the taste of it and how I can costumize it. I love my trips to Tim Hortons to get an iced cappucino or iced coffee. I'll never stop buying an overpriced coffee at Starbucks everytime I go to Quebec City. I love coffee with all my heart and I'll never stop drinking it. Maybe it can still gives me that placebo effect.
That's a really weird post only talking about coffee but I really like it and today is very tiring and making me think and I also need to do something otherwise I'll fall alseep in class. Also, if there's spelling mistakes or if it's incoherent, I'm sorry, my brain is really dead right now and I can barely function.
Anyway. My class ends in 12 minutes and then I have to go sell something, then I have like maybe half an hour to rest before going back to class and have a 2 hours class and write an exam essay.
Conclusion. Keep drinking coffee people. Or not. Tea is cool too. Might do a post about tea soon. Anyway. Goodbye.
Love you all,
The Indecisive xxx
